Debrecen with significant historical traditions is perhaps the most dynamically developing city in Hungary today. I hope that during your stay you will not only get a taste of the history of the city, but also of the essence of change. When becoming acquainted with the city and the region you shall also experience what is meant by the deservedly well-known Hungarian hospitality.
The city of Debrecen and the police force co-operate in several cases for the welfare of the citizens. A unique field of this cooperation is our joint foundation, one important task of which is to promote the culture of motorcycle traffic and to improve its safety. As a committed motorcyclist I am also aware of the importance of this, and I do all I can to bring this effort to success.
I am sure that the first occasion when our city acts as host to the participants of the Police Rally will convince you that it is worth returning to Debrecen!
I wish you success during the rally and a pleasant time with the never outdated motorcyclist saying „Wide roads to all".
Lajos Kósa
Mayor of Debrecen

Debrecen is a throbbing city of international festivals, concerts and sports events.
As Chairman of the IPMC it is especially a great pleasure and honour for me that our cross-border community shall now leave its trace in Debrecen as well.
As for myself, I will devote some time to travelling, so as to allow the special atmosphere of the Puszta to make an impression on me.
Let me invite all participants of the rally and the friends of IPMC to an unforgettable event. On behalf of the organizers we have our reliable partner, the 2nd vice-chairman of IPMC, Balogh Endre on our side.
Reinhard Moser
Chairman of IPMC

As an outstanding tourist site of the region, the city of Debrecen is perfectly suitable for organizing a large scale event like the International Police Rally.
As Captain of the county police, I believe such a programme without borders is suitable on the one hand to informally share our experience, as well as to establish partnerships and friendships between the police organisations of different nations, on the other hand to reinforce the trust in traffic safety of those living here.
However, the rally to be organized in our city in 2010 under the auspices of the International Police Motor Corporation (I.P.M.C.), does not lack the help of the civilian population which largely contributes to satisfying the needs of the visitors of approximately 1200 people arriving in our city, in order for the 2010 Rally to be a pleasant memory for the participants even after several years.
Making good use of the opportunities offered to our city by I.P.M.C., I wish the participants pleasant experiences and unforgettable memories during the programmes, I wish all participants successful participation, and a safe rally on behalf of the staff of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Department and myself.
Dr. Csaba Fekete
Police Major-general
Police Captain

Our programmes offering quality entertainment attract a lot of people to Debrecen from all over the world. In the past period about one million people participated annually in the major events of the city and in the programmes of Főnix Hall and Apolló Cinema. Kölcsey Convention Centre was opened in 2006, providing new opportunities. Considering its size and facilities it is the second conference and cultural centre of the country that satisfies all technical requirements. It is a worthy location for a concert of classical music just like for a professional conference.
The palette of Főnix Events Organizing NPO could not be more colourful. Be it a concert of classical or popular music, an exhibition, a theatre performance, a ballet show, an ice show, a world championship in gymnastics, a boxing or an indoor football gala, a basketball cup, a nationwide dance competition or professional conference: we are ready to satisfy the needs of the audience and the organizing companies.
Of course, fellow workers at a great events organizing company like ours cannot just sit back in their armchairs being content. We always aim at involving more and more people with even more exciting programmes so as to make our audience more satisfied and Debrecen an even more popular tourist destination. We believe this can be achieved...

We had the good fortune to organize the 64th International Police Rally in Debrecen, presenting to colleagues, besides the beauties of the work of the police in Hungary, the tourist sights of our surroundings and our culture as well.
